This year marks our first Christmas at Masons Restaurant Bar and to celebrate our dedicated chefs have created a mouth wateringly festive Christmas menu for you to indulge in all the way up to the big day! From a French inspired beetroot and caramelised red onion tarte tatin to a childhood memory invoking chocolate orange cheesecake, we’ve created a menu worth braving Manchester’s wintry weather for.

We sat down with some of the Masons team between their busy service to find out about their Christmas foodie favourites…

Which dish from the Christmas menu are you most excited about?

Tim – Head Server “My favourite dish is the fennel & apple smoked pigeon breast starter with the red cabbage. I think the combination of flavours, the pigeon breast which is smoked and the apple spiced red cabbage together is just a lovely combination. I’m German, so I absolutely love red cabbage!”

Dominic – General Manager “I love the fillet of hake, with the fondant potatoes and creamy tomato beurre blanc (basically a butter sauce) it feels really indulgent but fresh at the same time.”

Jack – Head Bartender “I’m a huge dessert fan so you’ll find me devouring the chocolate orange cheesecake over Christmas. You can’t beat that citrus hit mixed with velvety chocolate – and what says Christmas more than orange and chocolate!”
